In General a Family Portrait taken in ones home creates a strong harmonious feeling within the final portrait.

Studio Sessions can instill a Style, Look, or Formality. Some would say its a warm place to shoot in the winter time.

Some prefer an outdoor environmental setting for their portraits. This can create a personalized portrait unique and indifferent to others.

Portraits by Steven offers in-house design of your photographic and Printing needs. Styles of Traditional or Classic, Contemporary or Whimsical, we can design and print to your taste.

Session Planning & Wardrobe Consultation

Over the seventeen years in the profession, without question the difference from session to session is effort on the part of client.

This effort is in three parts: Wardrobe, unified theme and attitude. I am not trying to make work or effort for our clients. I am saying that showing up for the appointment with no coordination or continuity, will leave the session a little short.

Over the years, favorite sessions have been simple but coordinated clothing with a warm friendly family. Other favorites have been families with their boat, their cars, or dressed in ski garb with skis, and putting a location to match the hobby, car, etc. well that's magical. There is the big prize.

This is however, a drive-thru window world. Though we do not have a drive-thru window at our studio, we can try to make things as easy and convenient as possible. Down the road of effort will take us to, well we're not in Kansas anymore.
