What's a Safari?
Several times each year, we set dates to go to many of our most unique and desired locations.
These locations include the Salt Flats, Lake Powell, Snow Canyon in St. George, Arches, Bryce Canyon,
The Sand Dunes, Secret Waterfalls, "City By The Bay" and many others.
We get several clients to sign up for those dates for their photo sessions and it becomes
A Party or as we call it A Safari
There is a minimum "portrait order" required for this service. This minimum portrait order
is set to an amount we are willing to go the distance to perform this service. The minimum
portrait order amount is conservatively set to an amount that is easily below and in most cases
well below the average orders placed from these locations. On the Safari date, you will have
an exclusive appointment time all your own for your session. Others also scheduled for that
safari location may have an earlier or later appointment time. Prior to the safari date, it is
necessary to pay the session fee and minimum "portrait order" amount as listed to ensure
your reservation. With this said, we extend an invitation to join our Safari.
Waterfall Mania Though way up in the mountains, Steven's secret waterfalls actually require very little hiking. Rather in formal, or plain casual, be ready for this fast action location. Rumor has it that a Bear Lake Monster lives close by. For this adventure we require no fear of monsters and a minimum "portrait order" of $200. Picture with Monster additional, advance notice required. Session and travel, 60 poses, $135.
Salt Flats and Drive Fast With no speed limits on the Salt Flats, please be cautious and pay me before you go. As a family, engagement, bridal, modeling, you name it, the Salt Flats takes it beyond the sound barrier. With a cool car, truck, motorcycle or your favorite trike, you will be sporting a new hair style in this windows down, full speed ahead location. There is a bonus besides no stop lights for 80 miles. The old WWII airfield and hangers still sports the original paint job. This offers a second look from your journey to the state to our west. This safari extravaganza requires a $250 minimum "portrait order". Session and travel, 70 poses, $135. Postcards from Nevada not included.
Dune City Nothing like the wind in your hair and sand in your teeth. Fashionable clothes and stylish pose is always hot in the Sand Dunes. Clients commonly like pictures with their favorite cars or vehicle. If it's a "Rolls", or your "Little Red Wagon", we guarantee you will smile with sand in your teeth with what we can do for you. This safari requires lots of clothes changes with the minimum "portrait order" of $250 for this safari location. Session and travel, 60 poses, $135.
Lake Powell Wow, water temperature 87 degrees, water as smooth as glass, full speed through narrow red rock canyons, towering cliffs on both sides. Feels like your in a James Bond Movie. Portraits using the terrain, with your own boat or water craft as a base or prop are a real bonus. Common family portraits on a shoreline area with a canyon backdrop would be grand. With a 3 hour photo/boat travel allotment, let us pamper. Bullfrog is often the preferred marina for water sports. Wahweap near Page Arizona has a more open "Grand Canyon looking" landscape for portraits. Having your own boat is not a direct necessity, but helpful. Swimming the 51 miles to Rainbow Natural Bridge could be a challenge. All is well, no alligators. This safari requires a minimum "portrait order" of $325. Session, travel to Lake Powell, 3 hours photography/boat time, 60-80 poses, $160. Boat race following your appointment, priceless . . (n/c).
City by the Bay Capture the romance and style of the "City by the Bay", San Francisco. With photo stops at the Fine Art Center, The Golden Gate Bridge, and Steve's secret beach, one will go home with more than just a souvenir. The Art Center is a delight dressed in formal attire or in "ole time" classics. With its towering pillars, accented with ponds, ducks and walkways, it's easy to tell why it's a favorite of Steven. A touch of casual in the park is always great, just be careful what color you wear. They painted their bridge in a golden color and would clash with similar tones. At sunset, you find us at the beach where soft color tones are best. This half-day event requires a minimum "portrait order" of $600. Session, airfare and travel, 120 poses, $295.
Snow Canyon Majestic Mountains, ridges, and stone ravines, all carved during the Dinosaur days by glaciers. Very defined by its red rock, images captured here are guaranteed to be stunning, the view is spectacular. Steven simply calls it "God's Country". Minimum "portrait order" of $250 required for this safari location. Session and travel, 60 poses, $145.
